OverPower

The OP Monitor Mount Lite is an integrated monitor stand with state-of-the-art sliding mechanisms for all Overpower rigs, guaranteeing performance for even the heaviest gaming monitors on the market.

OverPower Monitor Mount Lite
One of the most important tasks of the simulator equipment is to create the best possible immersion. Immersion is a metaphorical expression in the game world that means “sinking” into virtual reality. It refers to a player’s experience of delving into gaming so that his focus is entirely on the game and he is unaware of the world outside the game. The role of the monitor in immersion is critical, as the eyes create the feel of speed in the simulation and are the first sensor to tell the brain what is happening on the track, e.g., the car starts to oversteer. And, the better the immersion, the more natural, fun, and easier the simulator will be to drive.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MONITOR IN SIM RACING
The horizontal field of view of a human being is 180 degrees, which should be covered as effectively as possible for the best possible immersion. Features and adjustments which affect the covered field of view are the size of the monitor and the distance between the monitor and the eyes. For example, if you place a 27-inch game screen 50 cm away from your eyes, it will cover more of your field of view than a 50-inch TV 100 cm away.

In addition to screen size, there are few other features to take into account when selecting the monitor for your simulator, which are resolution, refresh rate, and curvature. Resolution determines the number of pixels on the screen, in other words, how accurate the image is. The refresh rate tells you how many times the image refreshes on the screen, the bigger the better. We recommend purchasing a minimum of 120Hz gaming monitor. Curvature is a feature that affects to driving ergonomics, and based on our experience, even a small curve supports the ergonomics of the eye when driving. For example, professional sim racer Olli Pahkala recommends 1000R curvature monitors for everyone.

Considering that the features of modern gaming monitors are significantly better than TVs for gaming, their price point is significantly lower than TVs, and placing the screen close to the eyes is easy, a good game screen is the best solution for simulator driving.

GLORY TO FINE-TUNING
The optimal position of the screen significantly improves the driving experience and ergonomics. The ease of fine-tuning the position and distance of the monitor is also important, as in most cases you can find the perfect position for you by testing different options.

Have you thought about things like that when racing, for example; “Oh man, having the monitor a bit higher would be perfect,” or “The angle of the screen could be tilted a little more to make it better for my eyes”. These small indicators tell you that your driving ergonomics could be a little better and need a little tweaking. Good driving ergonomics are achieved when you are satisfied with your driving position and are able to concentrate on driving without any distractions in your body.

One of the most important features of the development of the Overpower product family has been the adjustability of the equipment that affects driving ergonomics. The OP Monitor Mount Lite is made with a completely new type of mounting and grooving mechanism, which makes it extremely easy and quick to adjust the monitor. You can conveniently adjust the position of the screen by loosening a few screws, and to ensure stability and easy adjustment, we have made each adjustment axis into its own so that fine adjustments can be made accurately and easily.

PERFORMANCE IN DETAIL
When a monitor mount can be integrated into the rig, it frees up floor space, making your simulator more compact and look much nicer. The challenge in the development of integrated monitor mounts is to make it as sturdy and easy to adjust as possible. We took up the challenge with open arms and developed new fastening and adjustment mechanisms with robust support components that guarantee top-class performance and adjustability.

The mount's support structures have been developed using the Samsung G9 49” super ultrawide gaming monitor, which is one of the largest and heaviest gaming monitors on the market. This ensured the mount's top quality, performance and adjustability.

The OP Monitor Mount Lite is attached to the core of the Overpower product family, the OP Frontal Assembly. The recesses made in the OP Monitor Mount Lite are supported by the OP Frontal Assembly's side plates, which allows the mount to perform well having heavy monitors in any configuration. In addition to this, the aesthetic whole of the stand is eye-catching and blends in perfectly with your rig.
